Why SEO and GEO Optimization Still Matter

93% of online experiences start with a search engine. If your business isn’t optimized for search engines like Google—or AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity—you’re handing those leads to your competitors.

Key takeaways:

  • 75% of users never scroll past the first page of results.

  • Inconsistent business info kills your visibility.

  • AI favors businesses with consistent SEO signals and optimized content.

Listings = More Clicks

Your business name, address, phone number (NAP), website, and hours must be accurate and consistent across directories. Google uses this information to determine whether to show your business in search.

Businesses with more than 75% of their listings synced saw a 186% increase in Google website clicks!

Using AI to Rank Higher

AI isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a powerful tool for improving your SEO. You can use AI to:

  • Find high-value keyword ideas

  • Optimize your Google Business Profile

  • Respond to FAQs and reviews

  • Generate content that improves visibility

Automate Your Google Posts

Consistent content builds trust. Whether someone finds your business through search, a mailer, or a friend, they’ll almost always check your online presence before converting.

Use automation to:

  • Stay top-of-mind with customers

  • Share relevant, timely content

  • Build and maintain authority in your niche

Automate Your Review Process

Positive reviews help you rank higher and build trust with new leads.

Did you know?

  • 73% of consumers only trust reviews written in the last month

  • 91% of consumers read reviews before visiting a business

Automate your review request process to generate new reviews, respond to feedback, and protect your online reputation.

Streamline Your Lead Process

Think about your current lead tracking system—what happens when a lead enters? If you’re not automating this process, you’re missing out on conversions.

An optimized, automated lead journey might look like:

  • Lead form submission → automated text

  • CRM tagging and assignment

  • Follow-up email → sale

  • Thank-you message → review request

  • Nurture email months later

All of this can be done without lifting a finger!

Manage Your Online Community

You’ve worked hard to build a brand—don’t leave your audience hanging. Consistent follow-up builds trust, boosts engagement, and helps you stay top of mind 24/7.

Use automation tools to:

  • Answer questions via chatbot

  • Trigger lead magnets in DMs

  • Warm up cold leads on LinkedIn

  • Respond to comments and reviews quickly

What You Need to Know About Google Ads in AI Overviews

Google is making some big changes to how ads show up in its new AI-powered search results, known as AI Overviews. If you run Google Ads, here’s what you need to know to keep your campaigns running smoothly.

Where will Ads Show Up Now?

Google’s new AI Overviews are designed to give users quick, summarized answers at the top of search results. Ads can still appear on these results pages, but they’ll only show up in one spot per search:

  • Either above or below the AI Overview

  • Or directly inside the AI Overview

  • But not both.

This helps keep the search results clean and less overwhelming for users.

What kind of Keywords Trigger Ads in AI Overviews?

Here’s where it gets a bit technical — but we’ll keep it simple.

  • If you’re using broad match keywords (which capture a wide range of related searches), your ads might show inside the AI Overview.

  • If you’re using exact match keywords (which target very specific search terms), your ads will show above or below the AI Overview — but not inside it.

If your ad qualifies for both, Google will choose to place it above or below the AI Overview instead of inside it.

Why this matters for you?

Google is still testing how ads work with AI Overviews and rolling this feature out to more countries. That means ad placement could shift as they continue refining the experience.

But for now, if you’re running Google Ads:

  • Use a mix of keyword types to maximize your visibility.

  • Keep an eye on where your ads are showing up.

  • Know that ads inside AI Overviews are designed to be relevant to the content being shown.

Here’s the bottom line…

AI is changing how people use Google Search — and that means your ad strategy needs to evolve too. As Google keeps experimenting with AI Overviews, staying flexible and informed will help your business stay ahead.
